The Whole Unit, Lit End to End.

Industrial · BarnsleyHigh-bay LED relight + power

FRM stripped out the old, tired lighting and relit the entire unit in high-bay LED, then installed the power to match. Brighter, more even light across the floor, and a running cost that finally makes sense.

The brief

A Big Space That Was Dark, Dated and Dear to Run

The unit was still lit by the original fittings: dim in the corners, uneven across the floor and expensive to keep on all day. The brief was simple to say and harder to do: relight the whole space to a proper working level, sort the power behind it, and bring the running costs right down.

The catch was doing it in a unit that couldn’t simply shut down. Most of the work was at height, over a floor that still had to function, so it had to be planned, sequenced and kept safe around the day-to-day.

What shaped the job

  • Working at height, right across the unit
  • Keeping the unit running through the works
  • Light levels right for the work below
  • Cutting the running cost of the old lighting
