Ideally close to where you park and to your consumer unit, on a wall that keeps the cable run tidy and the connector within easy reach of the car's port. We'll look at both before quoting.
What your supply can take
Most homes can run a 7kW charger, but it depends on your main fuse and what else draws heavy current. Where needed we fit load management so the charger eases off when the shower or oven is on — avoiding nuisance trips without an expensive supply upgrade.
What a proper install includes
- A dedicated circuit with the correct protection (and built-in earth fault detection).
- Neat cable routing and a weatherproof finish.
- Notification to your network operator and a building-regs compliance certificate.
